I'm looking forward to performing an acoustic set at the new Absolute Fringe monthly fest at Elbo Room (this Sunday Feb 27th 8pm) - I'm opening for Tret Fure!! Milwaukee Pridefest

Milwaukee Pridefest has one of the best queer music line-ups in the country - I caught The Shondes, Nicole Reynolds, Ellis, Martine Locke, and Che Arthur . And that was just a taste of the amazing three-stage, three day event. Chicago Pridefest (coming up next weekend) does have the Joans, but then fills the stages with cover bands and straight dance artists. (although to be fair I must add that the three headliners at Milwaukee Pridefest were all straight).

Nicole Reynolds is an amazing lesbian folk artist - the real thing. She performed at my Homolatte series in Chicago in December and blew everyone away. I just watched Julie/Julia and was ashamed of myself - my blog has one post (and because I never use this blog, I couldn't even retrieve it.) This is a new year, and I will be blogging ferociously - my new year's resolution. My subject - the only thing i seem to know anything about these days. Queer Music - circa 2010!!
